Description
Purpose. The stand-simulator “Automotive CAN bus scanners” is intended for carrying out a set of practical work on studying modern methods of digital diagnostics of passenger cars and light trucks of imported and Russian production, as well as developing initial skills in vehicle maintenance and repair in the courses “Automotive Equipment Design”, “ Operation of Automotive Equipment», «Design and Calculation of Automotive Equipment».
Description. The simulator consists of a laptop and two diagnostic modules: a system tester and a universal multi-brand scanner.
The system tester must have a control menu entirely in Russian. Communication with the computer must be carried out via a wireless Bluetooth connection with a range of at least 30 meters. The tester must support data exchange using the PASS THRU protocol. The device must be connected directly to the OBD connector of the vehicle and communicate via Bluetooth with the laptop included in the delivery kit.
The system tester should allow for diagnostic tests, including: reading and deleting errors, visualizing engineering parameters and states, adjustments and configurations, turning off oil, maintenance and airbag service lights, configuration of electronic control units, keys and remote control; autodiagnostics for reading and erasing errors in memory, for displaying system parameters and ECU status; activation, adjustments and configuration options necessary for a complete repair; adaptation of components; key programming; control of actuators; resetting service intervals; recording parameters and errors that occur to identify errors that occur under certain conditions (for example, when the car is subjected to maximum loads); support for data exchange via OBD II and EOBD protocols (K/L ISO 9141-2, ISO 14230, SAE J1850 PWM/VPW, ISO 15031-5, ISO 15765-4, ISO 11519-2, SAE J1708), as well as via CAN ISO11898 and PASS THRU.
Technical characteristics of the system tester: Processor: with a frequency of at least 72 MHz, flash memory with a capacity of at least 1024 KB, SRAM memory at least 96 KB; RAM: SRAM: at least 8 Mbit with a structure of 512 KB x 16 bits, NAND flash memory: at least 2 Gbit on an 8-bit bus; Power: System control at 12 and 24 VDC; USB communication: virtual RS232 via USB 2.0 device; Wireless connection: Bluetooth class 1; Diagnostic connector: 26 Pin, according to ISO 22900-1 standard; Connector for reprogramming control units: PV according to the requirements of the SAE J2534 protocol.
