Description
The demonstration model is intended for conducting theoretical classes on mastering the spatial understanding of the occurrence of rock layers when conducting classes in specialized scientific institutions of primary, secondary and higher professional education.
Description. The demonstration model should be a prefabricated structure made of polyvinyl chloride, coated with colored acrylic paint. The training model should be a reduced model of a hill, divided by a fault into two unequal parts: a large one, with a horizontal bedding, and a smaller one, with an inclined bedding. The layers must be secured with dowels against arbitrary horizontal movements. It must be possible to separate both parts into two halves in a vertical plane. The opening section should show: horizontal layers of rocks, elevations, subdivision indices. Horizontal layers of rocks should be painted in different colors. Most of the hill should be divided into an additional 8 layers horizontally. By removing the layers one by one and applying them to the training map (which is included in the delivery set), the teacher clearly demonstrates the construction of lines of elevation levels and boundaries of layers in the plan, as well as the construction of a section. The educational card must have built-in magnetic stripes to allow the card to be placed on the magnetic surface of the educational board. The demonstration model must be installed on a table-top base made of laminated chipboard, at least 16 mm thick, and equipped with handles at the edges for easy carrying.
Contents: Demonstration model “Horizontal occurrence of rocks”, passport, educational map.
