Description
The stand allows you to study the operation of dynamic type pumps: centrifugal with an open impeller, centrifugal with a closed impeller, vortex, measure the pressure and flow characteristics of pumps and a pumping station based on a combination of pump connections, set and determine the pressure and fluid flow at various points in the hydraulic system.
AN SIGNIFICANT FEATURE OF THE STAND IS THAT THE PUMP CASES ARE MADE FROM TRANSPARENT MATERIALS, ALLOWING YOU TO MONITOR THE OPERATION OF THE WHEEL.
The stand provides the following laboratory work:
1. Study of the design of a centrifugal pump with an open impeller in a transparent casing. Study of pump characteristics at different speeds.
2. Study of the design of a centrifugal pump with a closed impeller in a transparent casing. Study of pump characteristics at different speeds.
3. Study of the design of a vortex pump in a transparent casing. Study of pump characteristics at different speeds.
4. Study of the characteristics of two parallel-connected pumps.
6. Study of the characteristics of series-connected pumps.
7. Study of pressure losses on the pipeline system for various types of connections
8. Coordination of pump and network characteristics
9.Demonstration of Bernoulli’s equation. Determination of piezometric and velocity pressures during fluid flow through a pipeline of variable cross-section
The training stand “Dynamic pumps” SGU-NDT-017-9LR includes: frame structure; tank; vortex pump with transparent casing; centrifugal pump with an open impeller and a transparent casing; centrifugal pump with a closed impeller and transparent casing; three drive motors powered through frequency converters; water meters; shut-off and control valves; Pressure Sensors; pipelines under study, stroboscopes installed on pumps; pump shaft speed sensors.
Data from each sensor is displayed on digital indicators.
