Description
The laboratory stand “Instantaneous axis of rotation” is intended for conducting educational and laboratory work for students in theoretical mechanics. The stand is made in the form of a desktop frame structure, consisting of a rectangular horizontal base and a vertical stand with a spindle unit attached to it. The first rotating body is fixed to the spindle assembly on the front side. On the rear side of the rack there is a first gear motor with a rotation frequency variable in direction and magnitude, driving the first body. A second gear motor with a fixed rotation speed is attached to the body, on the shaft of which a disk with markings is attached. At the base of the stand there should be a power source, a speed controller for the first geared motor and a switch for the direction of rotation of the first geared motor. Rotation speed sensors are installed on the rotating body and on the disk, the values of which are displayed on digital displays with a resolution of 3. On the base there is a stand for placing a photo clamp. Information from the photo recorder is transferred to a laptop for subsequent analysis.
1 Stand supply voltage 220 V, alternating current, frequency 50 Hz. Maximum power consumption 250 W.
2 Disc diameter 200 mm.
3 Stand dimensions 400x400x500 mm
4 Weight no more than 15 kg.
The specified design of the stand with the equipment described above ensures that the following list of laboratory work is performed by a group of students of 2…4 people:
— determination of the instantaneous axis of rotation at angular velocities equal in magnitude and direction;
— determination of the instantaneous axis of rotation at angular velocities equal in magnitude and different in direction;
— determination of the instantaneous axis of rotation at angular velocities of different magnitude and direction
