Purpose.
The laboratory stand “Working processes of drive couplings” is intended for performing a set of laboratory works in the courses Technical Mechanics, Machine Parts. Provides study of the working processes of drive couplings: safety, elastic, compensating.
Description.
The stand is designed as a tabletop structure with the ability to install various drive couplings.
The coupling under study is driven by a drive gear motor. A device for installing couplings is attached to the gear motor shaft. The load on the coupling under study is created by a loading device. A device for installing couplings is also attached to the shaft of the loading device. Both the drive and the loading device are equipped with torque sensors and speed sensors. The loading device has the ability to rotate around an axis located under the center of the couplings under study. A vernier for determining the angle of rotation of the loading device is installed at the rear of the loading device.
To control and indicate the values of torques and rotational speeds, a control panel is built into the frame of the stand.
Inside the control panel there is a controller that provides independent processing of information from sensors, transmission of information to a computer and display of the processed information on the LCD display. The controller is an analog-to-digital converter made on an electronic board, based on a PIC-type controller with the following technical characteristics: architecture type: RISC; bit depth: 8-bit; clock frequency 48 MHz; program area size, at least 32 KB; RAM size, at least 4 KBytes; EEPROM size: at least 512 Bytes; at least 8 analog inputs, at least 4 analog outputs; at least 24 discrete inputs; interface support: USB, RS-232, RS-485, SPI, I2C; support for sensors: strain gauge resistance, thermal resistance, thermocouples, induction sensors, optocouplers with an open optical channel; peripherals, at least 8-bit DAC, at least 10-bit ADC, at least 16-bit PWM, at least 16-bit counter-timer, analog comparator, optically isolated open collector type outputs, current switches.
The control panel is equipped with a liquid crystal display that displays the rotational speeds of the shafts of the drive module and loading module and the magnitude of torque on the shafts of the drive module and loading module. The drive module is turned on using a toggle switch, the rotation speed of the drive module shaft is adjusted using a regulator. The loading module is turned on using a toggle switch, the amount of braking torque on the loading module shaft is adjusted using a regulator.
The stand is connected to the computer using a USB cable. Software is installed on the computer.
The laboratory stand is equipped with the following couplings (6 pcs):
Safety clutches – ball, friction;
Elastic couplings – with elastic sprocket, MUVP;
Compensating couplings – gear, articulated.
In the manufacture of the laboratory complex, new components, parts and materials not previously used must be used. The front part of the control panel must be made of 2.5 mm thick aluminum sheet with metallographic markings.
