Description
“The standard kit is intended for carrying out 6 experimental laboratory and research works by a group of 2–3 people. Kit includes:
–stand “Fluid Mechanics – Water Hammer” MZh-GU-10-6LR-01;
— laptop;
– description of the software;
– stand operating manual.
– guidelines for carrying out the following list of laboratory work:
1. Study of pressure loss along the length under different regimes of fluid flow. Determination of the Darcy coefficient.
2. Study of pressure loss when fluid flows through local resistance: a diaphragm.
3. Study of pressure losses when liquid flows through local resistance — a ball valve at different openings.
4. Study of the nature of the change in pressure in the pressure pipeline during a water hammer (closing the valve at the outlet of the pipeline). Determination of impact pressure. Experimental verification of N.E. Zhukovsky’s formula.
5. Study of the nature of pressure changes in the pressure pipeline when two valves at the inlet and outlet of the pipeline are simultaneously closed.
6. Study of the nature of pressure changes in the pressure pipeline during a hydraulic shock when the outlet valve is not completely closed.
Stand design.
The stand is made in the form of a frame made of steel profiles with a polymer coating with hydraulic elements mounted on it. At the bottom of the frame there is a hydraulic tank with a volume of at least 50 liters for storing water. The pump is mounted on a frame next to the tank. Water is supplied from the pump through a check valve to a manifold with 4 outlets and then to a pneumohydraulic accumulator.
The stand uses a closed flow of liquid (water) without connection to an external source.
