Description

The complex will allow training of specialists in carpentry or processing of wooden blanks on various types of woodworking machines. Using an immersion virtual reality system, the complex allows you to simulate work on various types of machines using a real wooden workpiece with a positioning sensor to interact with the virtual environment. Using this simulator, it is possible to practice skills and procedures for taking measurements, cutting, trimming and processing wooden blanks without risk to the user and waste of materials. Visualization of the cutting process and recording of deviations from the guide line takes place in virtual reality using high-precision external sensors.

This simulator supports simulation of working with the following woodworking equipment:
1. Sawing machine with a circular saw
2. Sawing machine with band saw
3. Planing machine for processing workpieces
This simulator allows you to practice the following exercises:
• Training for cutting along the marking line
• Practicing linear edge skills
• Development of skills in working with an edge trimmer
• Practicing skills in working with a jointer
