Description

The complex is designed for filtering through a filter medium with subsequent change in its chemical/physical characteristics of water in the closed life support system of spacecraft. The filtration unit consists of a mechanical sand filter and a chemical filter based on activated carbon.
The filtered water is collected in a stainless steel tank, which provides samples for laboratory analysis.
