Description

The stand allows you to determine the fracture pressure of polypropylene pipes and fittings with diameters of 20, 25 and 32 mm at different liquid temperatures in the pipeline. The stand is a chamber with a transparent opening door into which the pipeline section under study is installed. Adapter parts with seals are put on the ends of the section under study and fixed to the frame inside the chamber. The liquid is pumped in a closed loop through the heater and pipeline until the set temperature is reached, after which the pipeline is cut off and liquid is supplied to it from a hand pump. The pressure in the pipeline is controlled by a pressure sensor with indication. The display unit remembers and displays the maximum pressure before destruction. The temperature at the heater outlet can be set in the range of 30-80 C. The area under study must be soldered by students before testing.
Contents: frame structure, test chamber, two circulation pumps, hand pump, water tank, soldering iron for polypropylene pipes, set of adapters.
Laboratory works:
1-3. Determination of the fracture pressure of a thin-walled polypropylene pipe at a temperature of 30 C (3 works for diameters 20, 25, 32).
4-6. Determination of the fracture pressure of a thick-walled polypropylene pipe at a temperature of 30 C (3 works for diameters 20, 25, 32).
7-9. Determination of the fracture pressure of a reinforced polypropylene pipe at a temperature of 30 C (3 works for diameters 20, 25, 32).
10-12. Determination of the strength of the “bend” element and its connection to the pipe at a temperature of 30 C (3 works for diameters 20, 25, 32).
13-15. Determination of the strength of the “plug” element and its connection to the pipe at a temperature of 30 C (3 works for diameters 20, 25, 32).
16-17. Determination of the strength of the “adapter” element and its connection to the pipe at a temperature of 30 C (2 works for diameters 20 and 25, 25 and 32).
18-34 Works from 1 to 17 at a temperature of 75 C.
