Description

The training stand is a multi-circuit cooling system of a production facility (chamber, bunker, cooling hold, etc.).
The first cooling circuit is a closed system with a refrigerant circulating through it — R404a, operating in a reverse Carnot cycle. The first circuit includes:
• piston semi-hermetic two-stage compressor with equipment mounted on it: economizer, expansion valve, solenoid valve, two sight glasses, filter drier, pressure sensor and temperature sensors;
• oil separator;
• water-cooled condenser of shell-and-tube or plate type (imitation of cooling of the refrigerant by sea water is carried out using an auxiliary pump pumping water through the condenser);
• filter drier;
• sight glass;
• solenoid valve;
• thermostatic valve;
• evaporator;
• liquid separator.
The second cooling circuit is a closed low-pressure hydraulic system with a working medium of propylene glycol. The centrifugal pump of the second cooling circuit forces propylene glycol into the evaporator of the first cooling circuit, where it is cooled to subzero temperatures. After this, the cooled propylene glycol enters an air-water heat exchanger installed in the cooling chamber.
The training stand contains a data collection system and a set of sensors that allow determining the refrigerant temperatures at the inlet and outlet of the condenser and evaporator of the first cooling circuit, the temperature of propylene glycol at the inlet and outlet of the air-water heat exchanger of the second cooling circuit, the ambient air temperature in the cooling chamber, the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant in the suction and discharge lines of the compressor of the primary cooling circuit.
