Description

The virtual laboratory complex “Internet of Things in Agriculture” is designed to teach, using a three-dimensional representation of the city, sensors and devices, the principles of operation of IoT (Internet of Things) devices and systems using the example of the implementation of a “smart greenhouse” system.

This complex has a built-in three-dimensional editor, which allows, using available tools, to create a 3D space of a virtual greenhouse and place crops in it, as well as the following sensors and smart devices:
• light sensor,
• air temperature sensor,
• soil temperature sensor,
• air humidity sensor,
• soil moisture sensor,
• lighting,
• watering,
• heating.

Placed sensors and devices can be connected to external existing Internet of Things platforms for subsequent management of virtual “smart greenhouse” systems. The complex allows you to simulate natural environmental parameters, such as temperature, humidity, light level, etc., which affect the sensors. The user can work in several modes: top view, first person view or in virtual reality. Each hosted device has the ability to interact with the user.

The complex provides the ability to carry out the following laboratory work:
• automate the irrigation, heating and lighting systems,
• determine parameters of air temperature, soil temperature, air humidity, soil moisture and illumination.
