Description

Purpose: The stand-tablet “Stability of pit sides and slopes” is intended for mastering the basic parameters and criteria for determining the stability of pit sides and slopes in specialized educational institutions.

Description: The stand is a rigid front panel made of MDF 8 mm thick, in a plastic frame 90 mm thick. A polymer substrate with color illustrations is glued to the front panel: a diagram for determining the position of the sliding surface, a diagram of a landslide wedge for calculating the stability of the quarry side, diagrams for strengthening slopes, and geometric elements of the quarry. Inside the frame there is a controller that controls the logic of the stand. In order to clearly illustrate the principle of operation of the circuit, dynamic LED backlighting and magnetic sensors are installed in the front panel to implement the “training” and “control” modes. In the “learning” mode, when one of the circuit elements is selected, the LED opposite the corresponding element name lights up. In the “control” mode, the student himself compares the name of the element with its image on the diagram.
