Description

The laboratory complex “Internet of Things in a Smart Home” is a model of a house with sensors, devices and a controller. Designed to teach the principles of operation of IoT (Internet of Things) devices and systems using the example of implementing a “smart home” system.
This complex allows, using sensors and “smart” devices, to perform the following actions:
• automate the control of lighting, heating and water supply,
• determine parameters of temperature, air humidity and illumination,
• monitor and alarm in case of fire, water leaks and unauthorized access.

The hardware of the complex consists of a programmable controller and sensors and actuators connected to it, mounted on a model of the simulated space (house). The hardware can also connect to existing Internet of Things platforms (at the customer’s choice). The controller has the ability to connect to the virtual part of the complex, which is a virtual copy of the system under study with the ability to synchronize the virtual and physical parts of the complex in real time, implementing the “digital shadow” principle. A virtual copy of the system allows you to monitor sensor parameters and control the interactive layout.

The model is made from “hard” materials: plexiglass, wood, ABS and PVC plastics of various types. The model is painted with polymer paints that are resistant to abrasion and ultraviolet radiation, and lined with decorative panels according to agreed upon samples (samples are discussed at the design stage).

The laboratory complex includes:
• house layout,
• sensors integrated into the layout: light, temperature, humidity, water leakage, smoke, noise,
• analogs of “smart” devices integrated into the layout: lighting, heating, sockets,
• programmable controller with source training code,
• virtual laboratory complex “Internet of Things in a Smart Home” — 1 license.
